We Are The World has been brought into the 21st century and it will move you just like the first version did. It is a powerful remake of a classic that everyone in the world is aware of, and this remake truly represents Michael’s work well. The music video itself is powerful with scenes from Haiti and children dancing on the street amongst the rumble. They even managed to add Michael Jackson, via special effects, and it just seems like he was part of the crowd. The only negative note about the video is that it starts off with teen newcomer Justin Bieber. This classic should have started off with someone who is more established as a singer, and even though little Justin is the little engine that could, his fame will last only as long as the teenagers love him. The addition of the rap section in the video is fantastic and a great idea to bring this song to other people who might not otherwise have listened to the song because it’s too Pop. Are you a fan of the new version? or Do you prefer the classic made by Michael Jackson?
